I think it's about time we started setting some timelines up for this.

Guidelines:

1. As of now, thanks to Kaius the Quitter, we have ten teams. If it stays that way, we'll have a 72 game season. Each day, you will play two games against the same team in the same city. Overall, you will end up with 4 home and 4 away games against each team. If anyone wants to run a second team, just let us know and we can go up to 12 teams.

2. You can only pick a season in which they played at least one game for your franchise, and you can't pick more than one season of the same player. Players traded mid-season are eligible for both teams.

3. The playoffs will be best-of-seven series. This is one thing we need to discuss. With ten teams, do we want eight making the playoffs, or do we want just the top four, or top six with first and second getting a bye or... suggestions?

4. Any other rule suggestions are welcome. Do we want a rule about goalies where you have to start a backup a set number of times, or should teams be able to run their starter as often as they want?

For the first 22 days, double-headers will be played at the home team's arena. Days 23-33 will consist of a home-and-home series for a total of three home and three road games against each team.

If you get to 11 and need one last person, I'll either give the Islanders or the Capitals a go...

If we're looking at a potentially 72 game season, I think only four teams should make the playoffs.

If we have 12 teams, id say six with a first round bye for the top 2 seeds.

The Line of Kevin O'Shea, Brian Sutter and Harvey Bennett just combined for a -36 in the 27-0 loss to the Oilers.
