Spieth is playing out of his mind.
That was an incredible round.
That's the second time he could have tied or held a course record all by himself that got foiled by the 18th. (the year he won if he makes par at 18 he would finish with a course record 269, instead he is tied with Tiger Woods (1997) 270. {when Tiger Proofing became a thing}
Yesterday both he and Paul Casey flirted with Greg? Norman's course record 63 with 62 seemingly possible before the bogey at 18.
The younger contingent of Americans is now ready to win majors consistently. There are some tremendous young golfers in that top 10 group but Rory has got to finish better if he's going to finish the career Grand Slam.
To get that finish yesterday really spanning the whole weekend, I'm incredibly excited for the US Open in June and The Open in July. Saturday was ridiculous) and Spieth is maybe a Vanilla flavored guy, but his golf game isn't.
If and when Fowler breaks through I could see a number of these guys winning several majors. This is a really good crop of talent. Tiger could be back into form in a year or so and still not win because of this group that he inspired 20 years ago.
Ryder Cups and President's Cups are watchable and really good TV again in America.
