i went to the indoor driving range on saturday (my kid was taking a lesson). it was the first time i lifted a club in 3 months. the only glove i had was the one i used the last time i golfed in a pouring rain. and so it wasn't the softest of gloves. the blisters i still have are pretty bad.
i'm not sure what possessed her to do it, but my wife decided to take some swings with a driver. she doesn't golf, and the last time she swung a club was about 20 years ago. after a 1-minute instruction from will's coach, she was hitting 225 yd. lasers. it made me think of how long lenny's been trying to play this game.

i've increased my distance by a good 30 yards over the past 3 years just from proper mechanics. before i was never completely shifting my weight onto my left side. now if i could only square up the club 100% of the time.

i don't believe this for one second. what do you do on the par 3's that are 205?
No par 3 should be more than 200 yards from standard tees on a public course.
wait. you guys play public courses?
I will say that I play a private course quite a bit that a friend belongs to. A big number of pga and senior pga guys play out of there as their home course..its a great old school course that very challenging and there is no par 3 over 190
