Got back from our trip yesterday. Played Spyglass on Saturday, and Pebble Beach on Sunday. The best 36 holes of golf I've ever played (not score-wise, just golf-wise). I can't really even write any sort of review, because it's pointless. I knew Pebble was going to be unbeatable, but I was really surprised and happy with Spyglass. I swear to god every single shot on that course is uphill and into the wind. I was hitting 140-yard 5-irons.
Highlights included:
- Birdie on Spyglass #10 – Eagle on Spyglass #17 – Three hole run of birdies on Pebble #5, 6, and 7 – Scrounging together a 40 on Pebble front 9 (after 3 birdies, lol) – Par on Pebble #1 with some major nerves happening – Almost hit a car on my drive on Pebble #2 – Dunking my second shot into the cliffs on Pebble #8 – Hooking my drive into the ocean on Pebble #18 – Scoping Tiger's locker in the locker room at Pebble – Jim Nantz rolling down Pebble #13 cart path in a Mercedes golf cart
Lucked out and got paired with some really good groups on both days. Couldn't have been more happy with the weekend, and something I'll never forget.

one other highlight from the weekend was my wife having a blast really getting into golf vacations. she admittedly had so much more fun than she anticipated, and wants to go back to Pebble to walk it again with me. she doesn't think she'll ever play, but she really enjoyed just walking the courses and appreciating their beauty. the experience at the hotel didn't hurt either
her calves were so sore yesterday, the day after walking Pebble, that she could barely walk to the bathroom to pee in the hotel room. she said she has a whole new appreciation for walking courses, and will never give me shit for coming home tired after playing a round
when i holed out for eagle on Spyglass #17, she gave me a huge high five, and the smile on her face is burned into my memory
