Better yesterday, than in two weeks. Since '07, I find losses in these types of games easier to take.

I just hope Brady is able to get one more before all is said and done.

I think this is probably a case of the truth hurting.

There are a lot of decent guys in the NFL, why are we celebrating this dude?

I'm anxious for a searing Costas expose on knife violence.

san fran and pats have been in exact same boat last two years: 1 super bowl loss and 1 championship game loss to eventual super bowl winner.

How loud will the boos be when Welker next steps onto the field at Gillette?

If I were Wes, I wouldn't worry. Nothing's loud at Gillette.

I remember when they let Adam Vinatieri have it when he went to the Colts--and he was a freaking kicker.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll boo. I'm just a little sore right now. Welker was one of my favorite players(so was Branch, Seymor, Vinatieri...) and every time I go to a game, the crowd sucks. But, this isn't on Wes. The Pats didn't want him. I just hope they use their free cap space wisely.

Danny Amendola seems like the logical Welker replacement.

If theyre not willing to pay Wes 6-7 million, I can't imagine they would care to pay anything for Amendola. I hope. With Ballard ready to return, maybe Hernandez goes to the slot. Still leaves a lot to be desired at wr.

So what kind of WR do the Pats need? With Gronk and Hernandez as your main receiving threats I'm curious as to whom might fit the bill.

Maybe you're right about Amendola. Maybe Edelman? But neither can stay on the field. It doesn't make sense when your QB gives you the financial freedom to sign Wes.

In all honesty, I think the Pats may have the last laugh here. They did get the younger talent. I think the Broncos did do a good job in only signing Welker for two years just in case.

Younger does not always translate to better though, especially when you have a short window left with Brady anyway
