i imagine tolzien's underwhelming performance will hasten the return of rodgers, hopefully by next week. while the vikings aren't very good, a division rival should never be taken for granted.

Minny's a must win if you think about it though.

I still don't believe we see Rodgers out there before the Atlanta game. My gut says this team goes 9-7; 9-2 with Rodgers, 0-5 without. That is, unless Flynn gets in and manages to beat Minnesota. I don't think Tolzien wins that game, and I don't think anyone other than Rodgers has a prayer against Detroit. I think MM is too conservative to put Flynn in barring anything other than a Tolzien injury.

Mccarthy should go up to Rodgers during practice and just mumble, "You know, the ol' gun slinger would be playing." And then just walk off.

Poor Aaron. When Rodgers went down, all my friends back home were thinking, "Wouldn't it be nuts if Brett stormed out of the tunnel?" Rodgers could win two more superbowls and still live in the shadow of Favre.

To be fair, there's a whole new generation of Packers fans who see Aaron as being every bit as infallible as we perceived Brett to be. I actually think they're more obnoxious about it than we were though.

Stupid. Not many things offend me, but tie ball games do. Unacceptable.

I'm so conflicted inside. I don't know how to feel. I'm not happy, but I'm not sad either.

At the very least, they're back in control of their own destiny in the division. Also, Thursday's game looks a lot more winnable now than it did yesterday. If they can somehow pull off the upset this week, Rodgers very well could be back by the Atlanta game, and then all of the sudden 10-5-1 and a division title is very possible. Thursday is HUGE.

I really don't see any way he plays Thursday. I'd love to be wrong though. Every single game on the schedule is easily winnable with Aaron under center.

Yeah I suppose Flynn played dynamite. I don't know why MM didn't start him to begin with. Yeah stick him in there on turkey day, maybe he'll throw 6 TDs again.

rodgers has said he'd need at least two days before a game to get ready - that would mean he's on the practice field tomorrow or tuesday. not happening.

9-6-1 can realistically win the division. Detroit very realistically could lose two of the three games against Philadelphia, Baltimore, and the Giants even if they beat the Packers. I don't see the Bears beating Philadelphia, Dallas, or the Packers in the closer (assuming Rodgers is back). So even if they lose on Thursday, if Rodgers is back by the Dallas game on the 15th (as they should be able to beat Atlanta in Green Bay even with Flynn), they should finish 9-6-1, which could easily be good enough to finish in first.

Since the start of the 2009 season (including playoffs)...

With Rodgers: 56-22
Without Rodgers: 1-6-1

:(

At least it looks like he'll definitely be back against Atlanta. This was the most depressing Thanksgiving game since the 1994 one when they blew a 17-3 lead against the Jason Garrett-led Dallas Cowboys.
