I don't think that would get in the way of them working together. HHH has proven himself to be good at his job.
I guess the real question is how much of the AEW friction is a work? I don't know enough to be sure, but if he's not happy he can be a real pain in the ass.
Punk HATES hhh and Stephanie, he ain’t going there.

I think Punk was working when he talked shit about Page, but I think the colt cabana stuff is real and there’s a clique within AEW that really resents Punk.
Eddie Kingston was suspended for two weeks for attacking Sammy Guevara. Sammy put out a statement that explained everything in detail. Suspension is now over.

If it was a work, it is strange that nothing else has been mentioned about Page, he has not been on the program, and nothing was mentioned about Page by the commentators (during the Punk match, or anywhere else).

And while Punk gets the pops, he’s not a babyface. The best example is the build up to the Hangman match where he was clearly the heel; he kept using Hangman’s finisher as a taunt during the match
Nothing about it seems like a work really. Why call another babyface a coward like that. With no future match planned?
To build a match?
There is no logic in that, and according to all ITKs, there is no planned match between them. If one was planned, Punk makes a terrible weird promo on Hangman, then no one mentions anything in weeks?

Mox vs Punk will be the main event next weekend.
Miz built his career on calling out John Cena until eventually the fans demanded seeing him get beat up by Cena. Maybe not that extreme of a scenario, but getting the fans to want something is a good way to book yourself into a match whether its good for business or not.

The only person who has said there is no match planned is Meltzer, who is not a credible source with regards to AEW booking. If it wasn’t a work, why did the camera crew have the Hangman sign shots queued up before Punk said it? This business is a work, man.

I've listened to four podcasts, and read various news about it, none of whom thought it was a work.
The talent meeting in AEW was mostly about WWE approaching several of the talent. AEW has sent a warning letter to WWE about it. Tony Khan said they will not back down.

Hangman is from the area the show was at.
I dunno what to tell you, plenty of people think it was a work that I’ve seen, Punk himself said it was a work, and there are pieces of evidence like what I’ve already mentioned that indicate this is a work, including the fact that the company has been doing multiple worked shoots in the last 6 months.
