show was enjoyable enough with some great highs (main event, bryan/styles) and nothing truly awful (like piss humor). ronda continues to impress in-ring and the fact that her involvement at the end 1) made sense and 2) seemed to solidify near-future matches with both becky and charlotte was nice to see. ambrose/rollins seems to be garnering the most dislike and it’s hard to disagree. their match should have been the chairs match, not orton/mysterio.

Predictions for the weekend:
NXT Riddle/Ohno- Riddle NA Title- Gargano Tag Titles- War Raiders Women’s Title- Belair NXT Title- Ciampa
Royal Rumble US Title- Rusev SD Tag Titles- Miz/Shane Raw Women’s Title- Ronda SD Women’s Title- Asuka WWE Title- Bryan Universal Title- Brock Women’s Rumble- Charlotte Men’s Rumble- Reigns
Have been a big fan of Abyss for about a decade. Really happy that he has signed with the WWE. I fear he will never get a match there, and only be used backstage. Good for him, but I would love him to have at least one match, or even better, a Royal Rumble appearance.

Overall a good show. I thought the women's rumble sucked until Becky came in, and thought the men's rumble was meh. The title matches were all good. My biggest issues with the show were the length and the match placement. Bryan/Styles never should have been in that dead spot after the women's rumble, that should have been the Shane/Miz match.

My issue with the Rumble matches has nothing to do with a lack of surprise entrants, I actually have felt they should get away from that. My problem is that there was no story to either of these matches. In years past there would be multiple threads and storylines throughout the match, these were just people getting eliminated randomly.

Man, wrestling events are way, waaaaaay too long now. Kinda long for the days when everything was 3 hours except for a 4 hour WrestleMania. That Rumble felt like it stretched on into eternity.
Becky/Asuka was fine. I don't think Becky looked that strong for her push against Ronda.
Tag match was also just fine, though should Shane O' Mac be winning titles?
Ronda/Sasha was great.
For somebody who basically barely keeps up then tunes in around Road to WrestleMania time, the Women's rumble was very light on names - hard to react to somebody's music if you have no idea who they are. I think Becky should've been involved a bit more at the end - I'm not a fan of people not really earning their Rumble win by putting in the time/work.
Bryan/Styles was fairly dull - they were in a poor spot trying to pick the crowd up, and it took the gas out of everything.
Lesnar/Balor was short and quite fun, if not anything different for Brock.
Men's Rumble felt really quick - so much so that we timed the 90 second delays and they varied pretty wildly. I would've thought in this day and age they'd stick pretty strictly to the timing. I'm glad Seth won, but again, it felt a little like they just let him have a rest on the table and then got him to pop in at the end.
Biggest heel of the night: The goddamn camerawork! It's been a while since I've watched a WWE show, but fuck whoever's directing this. There were so many moments where a big move presumably happened, but the camera was too busy zooming and cutting to actually get a useful angle of it. The CGI stuff was a pretty decent substitute for flashy entrances though.
