I love the Pac-12 and I would have liked Oregon to solidify a great bowl season for us, but in the end power beats grace 95% of the time. This seems to be a lesson that Oregon will never learn. Congrats to OSU, you sure as hell proved me wrong.
Still, I'd say chances are Mariota will have a pretty solid NFL career.
I kinda feel for Mariota. Has any team won giving up that many rushing yards? Uphill battle all the way. Meyer's offense with those players is pretty sick and Elliot will be a beast in the NFL if he stays healthy. He has an awesome combination of speed and power.
The national champion lost to a 7-6 Virginia Tech team. I think that about sums up this college football season. Two great wins by Ohio State. They looked dominant last night. I hope someone else in the Big Ten steps up to give them a challenge in the next few years.

But that was essentially a completely different team playing with a quarterback that had not played before. Under the previous systems, that one loss would have knocked Ohio State out of the championship picture.

I was speaking more to the fact that this season did not have one truly dominant team. Everyone looked beatable at times. It was a fun season.

Am I wrong to say that I thought this game was boring? After that first drive it just seemed like tOSU had it on lockdown. Their first game against 'Bama was more interesting to me.

I wouldn't say it was boring due to the abundance of turnovers and the score at the end of the 3rd quarter, but it certainly wasn't a classic. The semifinal games were certainly more entertaining.
It could have easily been a 25+ point win for Ohio State.

Not at all. Didn't it seem that the crowd was pretty lousy as well? Just seemed blah.

Agreed. To me, the whole ever-changed "Top 4" aspect of it kept me more interested throughout the year (I'm a Michigan fan, and there wasn't a whole other lot to look forward to).
