sorry for being so blunt, but this is really, really dumb. i can tell you horror stories of friends with fractured skulls and memory loss (and one was just out with his son on the side of the road).

They cannot, however, prevent tooth loss. Speaking from experience here.

A superman pose (hands forward, palms out) can. If you know about it ahead of time, that is.

I always wear gloves. I have torn my hands to shreds more than once. I also wore a mouthguard for most of my rides last summer

My nose is already broken and twisted up. Any more breaks and twists just add character at this point

Do not superman ever. Tuck and roll. Turn your shoulder into the fall, wrap an arm around your head and you'll be fine. Superman will only lead to wrist, shoulder or clavicle damage and shredded palms if you ride without gloves.

Been riding a Pake Rum Runner steel frame fixed gear on Michelin slicks for a while now. Cost me fuck all and I love it.

My commuter is a Specialized, my girlfriend loves them. Have a Kona Honzo AL for having fun in the woods. My favourite bike ever was a Gary Fischer. Rode that until just about every moving part was replaced at least once.

Mine is a lot like that but with 29" wheels and a touch more aggressive geometry. It rolls like a dream but gets you into trouble fast if your not careful. For me at least, the big wheels mean I have to be very physical riding to make it nimble. A lot of kicking my back end to get it to swing through tight corners. But that's where the fun is.

i actually have 29 inch (2.2) wheels. and you're right about riding physically. it can be challenge, but fun.

80km on the nose today. kind of a hardcore one because we probably did 15 km on a terrain park in the middle. and we kinda went full tilt in the park. i even cut my ankle pretty bad and my buddy says he went over the handle bars although I never saw it.

Needed new tires and accidentally bought 2.4s. I had been running 1.95s, I think? Things are fat, but I like them. Made sure I put them on before I blew them up. No way they woulda made it past the break pad.
