Ochoa might have had the second one covered. Pulisic not putting his late chance on target was a bummer.

Yeah true. He was probably going to get to it. I really thought Pulisic was about to score when he turned his man right outside of the penalty box.

One issue, besides the ludicrous formation, was Pulisic having to come to the center of the pitch to receive the ball. That's way too deep to get the ball. He can't turn and beat three, four dudes. few, if any players can do that and an 18 year old is definitely not going to do that.

That shot on goal at the end of the game was one of the few times he got a pass on the edge of the box and only had one dude to deal with.

I really feel like the formation was pretty good tactics on Arena's part. Mexico never looked threatening to me and Ream/Cameron/Gonzalez worked very well together for the most part.

They played for a draw but with some luck could have gotten all three points. Job done.

Some of the rule changes they are exploring are downright disturbing. 60 minute games, time stoppages, being able to kick the ball to yourself during a corner? If they somehow figure out how to get commercial time during game stoppages I will probably call it a day as a fan.

And I thought they raped the game enough with the 48 team world cup. Guess we haven't seen anything yet...

What would it take to get you to call it a day as an RMer?

Asking for a friend.

Their keeper is a god lol That stadium is right in the ghetto. Shootings near there all the time. I kept looking at all those soccer people in the crowd wondering how they were going to navigate their way out of there.

Chile played like thugs today. The Germans on the other hand are wonderful to watch.

It's so difficult to watch USMNT right now. Glad Pulisic is with BVB for preseason. He had two assists and drew a penalty in a 3-0 win against AC Milan yesterday.

I didn't watch the game. The last Gold Cup match was awful. The US is not putting a good product on the field.

They are lucky to get that win. Jeez. That was awful. Hedges played awful defense

Can't wait for the Premier League to start back up. Interesting times for my team Crystal Palace FC with Frank De Boer now in charge.

Hedges is garbage. Lichaj was too. That giveaway at the beginning of the game was shockingly bad and any decent striker would have scored there. He scored a nice goal but he's a RB, why the hell was he even that far up the field making a run into the left side of the box? I think the Ticos will score two goals on them and win the semi final.

I was at the Nashville game. Almost 50k in 90 degrees heat to watch a horrid 1-1 draw with Panama. They don't deserve the support they get that's for sure.

Hedges was playing like he didn't want to be in the backfield, like he just wanted to run up field or something. He kept aggressively attacking when if he would have just contained and done his job things would have been fine. They were playing a pretty crappy team but it was almost like he wanted them to score.

He was trying to stand out to show Arena he needs to be called in for qualifying as the 4th CB, so he played like a selfish idiot. I'm not sure how he jumped over Steve Birnbaum, who Klinnsman used to call up. Maybe because he's MLS DEFENDER OF THE YEARRRRR!!!

On a different note, Im sadly not shocked at all Jozy and Omar got bit by those fucks. Plus, Jozy got a titty twister. VAR hopefully will weed that stuff out even if it does ruin other aspects of games.
