That’s because they’re all holding lit cigarettes.

Bob Cousey looks like half the guys that regularly play in the morning run at my local rec.

Heard this on the radio, it speaks to how innovative Russell was - he basically invented the concept of shot blocking.

One of his coaches didn't want anyone leaving their feet on defense (apparently that was best practices back then). Russell was like WTF and insisted on jumping so that he could block shots - he was a high jumper in high school.

I want there to be a movie where Giannis or someone similar goes back in time to play in the 50s or 60s.

I mean, the state of Wisconsin is attempting to go back to the 50s or 60s.

LeBron is worth every penny. I saw him play at PHX in 2019, two nights later Giannis was in town. Laker tix cost 10x as much as Bucks tix.

Of course he is.

KD is staying with the Nets. Didn't think it would exactly play out this way, but it's pretty obvious that there wasn't a trade to be made that benefited both sides.

The rumors didn't help the Celtics' relationship with Jaylen Brown, I'm sure.

They are using his likeness to market tix aggressively right now.

Not sure what he would be offended about. He was rumored in Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, and KD trades. Three guys that are all better than him. He's a smart guy, he should be flattered!

He also has an ego and is a bit insecure. But I agree with you. He has value and is still signed for two more years. He also recently signed with Kanye West's rep company....wonder what advice they were giving him.

I'm not a cap expert, but the extension rules may really limit the C's ability to resign him early.

they were talking about this on the radio and basically Brown is wise to hold out for a super max contract of some type. Either Celts or someone else will give it to him.

SI has a story about Lebron potentially playing with both his kids. He talks about how Tom Brady is motivation. Wonder if Lebron plays till 45 (seven more seasons) and wins another title or two...his GOAT status would grow but is it enough to knock off Jordan?

If Lebron can play 50-65 games a year for the next 4-5 years he will be in the top 5-10 of almost every statistical category. Pretty incredible given the expectations and pressure he had entering the league. A combination of incredible drive, dedication, luck, and skill development.

I think most people already have him firmly set at 1 or 2, I don't think there's much that can change that at this point especially since he's been such an atrocious GM for LA.

how much of mike and lebrons goat talk is attributed to us seeing them so much in all facets of media?

id argue that dream was just as unstoppable as mike
id also argue that kareem was just as dominant
kobe is 1 championship away from matching
wilt and bill? probably more dominant and unstoppable in their time than either of those three

if anyone says mike, bron, wilt or bill are the goats i cant argue with that
