The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
It would have been more fun to see LeBron crush him in the playoffs, but this injury doesn't really change much of anything about how the playoffs will go.

Irving has osteomyelitis of patella, he's so screwed. So hard to fully treat and slowly eats bone, can't imagine his patella holding up to playing.
"The team said a bacterial infection was discovered at the site of the screws when Irving had his most recent surgery, on March 24, to remove tension wire in the knee and that Saturday's procedure will ensure no infection remains."
That isn't how that works..... the screws caused the infection and need to come out..... but the infection lives in the bone and it's very hard to get antibiotics into bone.
I'm not a doctor but that is verbatim from a text exchange I was having today with a friend of mine who is. Sorry, Kyrie is fucked. At least he's smart?

Was he the one that told you Hayward was gonna lose his foot? Your doctor friend sounds like he'd come in handy in a zombie apocalypse. "Its an infection...chop off the limb!".

That was my diagnosis. You're in denial about Cryrie, obviously.
Well look he has a long history of getting hurt. Two hours before they said Kyrie was done for the season Ainge was on the radio saying he'll be back for the 2nd round. I don't believe anything that the Celtics ever say about any of their injured players cause they always paint a rosy picture until they don't. His best days could very well be behind him....or not. I'm just not sure how much "credit" you get for calling it with Kyrie since your every injury prognosticate is dire. I'm sure your doctor friend is super plugged into the situation and I'm sure your girlfriend who lives in Canada is real. I'm not sure the Celtics are in any worse position with this than any other team since every star in the NBA gets hurt and misses extended time except LeBron cause he's on that Vibranium.
