gotta love the boston crowd though. big energy most of the game. not a lot of arenas get this excited when your offense hits a 3 to go down by 10-15 points

it was nice for boston to get their hopes up for a game 7 only to be crushed like that
i will say robert williams might be the most likable player in the nba. doesnt talk shit. doesnt complain about not getting a foul doesnt complain about being fouled. just goes out there and plays basketball. wish more were like him

Boston fans will know better, but I assume that he wasn't physically capable of playing more than 15-20 minutes because he was dominant whenever he was out there. His defense on Jimmy was nightmare inducing and I was thrilled every time they took him out.

Brown and Tatum need a better coach than Mazulla to guide them. I don't blame Mazulla, he has done a good job for being in a shit situation, and I don't care if they keep him. But imo Brown has to go, especially if he chases a supermax.
My understanding of the new collective bargaining agreement is that there is an effective hard cap of $180 million (you can go over, GSW already are, but the penalties effectively will make most teams want to stay at or under that figure).
If both Brown and Tatum go supermax that's already $120 million or so. That leaves $60 million to fill out the roster.
I think this new CBA is going to make for a lot of players having to take less money than they think they are worth.
The only way I see JB staying is if he doesn't chase the supermax. In all honesty even as a 2nd team all NBA guy (still not sure how he got there) I don't see him as more than a $25/30 million guy.
Gonna be interesting how things play out from here for all teams tbh. I can't see how any team can have depth with more than just one supermax guy going forward.
They are in a tough spot with Brown. Cap-wise keeping him is almost a non starter but you can't lose the asset and salary slot either. There's also the very real possibility he wants out for whatever reason. He's not Kyrie dumb but he's in the ball park so you can't assume he'll make a logical choice. I really don't know what they should do. I guess first step is ask him if they offer him the max will he take it and go from there. He says no or he wants to wait you trade him immediately before the word gets out. He says yes you quickly and quietly look at trades and if nothing is there you got to sign him. He'll be real hard to trade after he's making $60 million a year but they have no choice. It's a pivotal summer.
Five ECF in the last seven years and 0 titles. It's tempting to blow it up or change it, but better coaching and a renewed commitment to defense might work. They were close with Ime.
