I've never been game enough to use water with protein powder. I've now gotten to the stage where I'm too lazy to be bothered with the powder and just use bars

it really doesnt taste that bad.

normally id either mix it with just a cup of milk or for dinner milk, protein, half a cup of frozen yogurt and a serving of peanut butter. it mixes well with just water so that may just be another -90 cals each time i take it

dont get me started on squats.

with each bend of my knees i "feel" like they will give out. mind you its in my head so most probably assume i have a knee injury or something cause right now i do 6X170lbs on my final set. im adding about 10-20lbs per week since i have been doing them. to put it in perspective i do leg extensions (both not one leg) at about 6X170lbs

At least you're managing to add a decent amount to your squat each week. I felt like I was going to pass out after the last two-three sets of deadlifts yesterday - I don't think I'll be adding much/any weight for some time

I've been doing the 30 Planking challenge. So far, so good. It's been really fucking difficult, but I've been able to do it.

However...

Yesterday (day 24 of the challenge) I did 7 miles in 63 minutes (the day before I did 10 miles). Then 30 minutes of lower body (hips, glutes, quads and abs). Then 30 more minutes of chest & tries. All this after planking for 180 seconds and push-ups.

This morning (day 25) was the first day I couldn't do it. I was supposed to plank for 210 seconds (3mins, 30 secs). I made it to 3mins, 10 secs and collapsed. Body just couldn't do it. So I rested for 10 secs, then planked for another 45 secs.

This shit is TOUGH. I'm so out of shape...

I love running. I've been doing so much on treadmills lately because of the snow/ice/cold. Can't wait to get back to 30 + mile weeks on the streets.

I was at my favorite weight when i was doing bike sprint workouts, running around the lakes and lifting weights.

I feel the best i have with the yoga thing but I want to start getting back into running I think. My knees are feeling much better these days and I think I could handle it. Running at this altitude is a drag though.

Did things a little different today; did a mile & a half on the treadmill and about 20 minutes of upper body work but with higher weights. See if it makes a difference in how I feel. I've really slack lately with cardio & can tell it in my belly. It doesn't take much for me to get skinny fat there.

Follow up My arms are a little more tired/sore than expected but I did good. I'll stick to my usual routine more often than not but a little mixing up now & then is not a bad thing.

I completed the challenge today. It was super fucking difficult and I'm sure my form was shite for the last minute +. But I did the 5 min plank without stopping or breaking at all. Felt so good about it that I went out and ran 8 miles.

I take it you started with the 20 seconds, did you do sets or simply what was listed?
