The week 5 NFL Power Rankings came out a bit ago and somehow ESPN dropped the Vikings in the standings (to 5th) and also raised the Giants three spots (up to 12th) in the rankings!   What a bunch of retards. Did they forget to watch the game that aired on their own network last night?!

Broncos fans went through this last year. Top defenses + questioned offenses = power ranking disrespect.

I get that. The funny thing is that almost all the other outlets have the Vikings either second or third, and not a single other one had them drop in the rankings after last nights game. It's equally as funny that ESPN has the Giants moving three places up after the loss. It's mindless.

I don't care what ESPN does as long as they keep putting Lisa Kerney on the air.

Damn.

So Skip Bayless' new show with Shannon Sharpe is just First Take part two?

Yeah same show just even more unwatchable. First Take is pretty good with Kellerman. He's a much better foil for SAS.

Say what you want about ESPN, at least there is no shortage of Tim Tebow headlines still.

It'll do better than whatever dreck they usually run out to compete against the NFL. At least they only wasted half an hour with talking heads before revealing the bracket.

That Hans Moleman line has always made zero sense to me, because he was in direct competition with Burns for the award.

Anybody see the 10 minute tribute segment they've been airing for Boomer? All because he's not doing NFL Primetime anymore. I was so sad when I figured out he was still going to be on TV basically all the time.

This all sounds awful for tonight's game:

Quote:
ESPN’s “Megacast” is back for 2017, and you have 14 glorious ways to watch the College Football Playoff National Championship between No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Clemson Monday night at 8 p.m. ET.

ESPN: Main game broadcast
Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be on the call in the booth, and Samantha Ponder will report on Clemson, while Tom Rinaldi reports on Alabama. Rules expert Dave Cutaia and Dr. Jerry Punch will also be available during the game.

ESPN 2: Homers on the call
This year it features former Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd and former Alabama center and three-time national champion Barrett Jones. The two will will serve as ‘game analysts,’ which they served as last season as well. Joe Tessitore will handle the play-by-play alongside Adam Amin, who will be doing additional interviews with personalities.

SEC Network: Finebaum callers during a Bama game
The Finebaum Film Room featuring Paul Finebaum will air here. SEC Network analysts Greg? McElroy and Booger McFarland will be joined by Florida head coach Jim McElwain to watch the game and provide analysis. The show will also take live calls throughout the game, which should provide extra entertainment.

ESPNU: ESPN personalities having fun
ESPN Voices will air over on ESPNU, which features ESPN personalities watching the game in a living room setting. Personalities on-hand will be Michelle Beadle, Keyshawn Johnson, Bill Walton, and Marcellus Wiley.

ESPNNEWS: Head coaches breaking down the game in real time
The Coaches Film Room will feature five coaches this year, and according to ESPN, it’ll feature less commercial breaks than before.

This year’s coaches include: Syracuse’s Dino Babers, Minnesota’s PJ Fleck, former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich, Colorado head coach Mike MacIntrye, and new Baylor head coach Matt Rhule. Brian Griese will accompany the group.

ESPN Goal Line: Cool, alternate camera angles
This channel will feature a split-screen with simultaneous multiple camera views, which can include the main ESPN camera angle, the SkyCam view, and isolated feeds of Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban.

Can't they have a feed with no network announcers and just the stadium audio?

Not ESPN but fox had a Jim Harbaugh 'khaki cam' for a game early in his first season just following him around.

It's like Mystery Science Theater 3000 for sports!

For folks who watch the game alone, but want the camaraderie of having some buddies around.
