I wonder who they are going to make a run at in the offseason. I still think they could use two starting pitchers at the top of the rotation. I'd much rather Swanson maybe play 3rd, it would be interesting if they could possibly get Simmons back. Looks like Albies is going to be back by spring to audition at 2nd.

Pendleton might go to the minors unless he stays with the major league club in some capacity. I would imagine they make some kind of play for Ned Yost to come back, but Bud Black was the other long time rumor. A lot of people here want Pendleton to get a shot to be manager, If he wants it, I'm sure he'll get an interview, I'm just not all that confident they want anyone that's in place right now.

They should be able to improve quite a bit just by getting more contributions and improvements from their young players, but there aren't enough good free agents available to turn them into a good team by next year.
