Yeay Freddie Freeman! With all the Puig hype (agreed somewhat deserved) I didn't think he had a chance in the fan vote. I met Freeman in the Atlanta airport after his rookie call-up. He was surprised anybody recognized him. Probably a little more used to it now.
He is having a great year, definitely deserves to make the all star team

What a horrible end to Huddy's season and possibly his Braves career. I didn't see live but the replay was still winceworthy. There goes one of your clubhouse leaders and an important piece of the rotation. The injury bug has bitten the team repeatedly of late but this one hurts the most.
What a great night of hitting last night, wow. Terdo really came through with 2 outs and RISP. That was big. That sweep was big.
They are beat up beyond belief right now, hilarious that the SI articles prior to the season was how "thin" the bench was. The bench players and guys like Chris Johnson are outplaying all expectations by far.
Martin Prado for Justin Uption and Chris Johnson was a tremendous trade for this season.

Who'd have thunk Prado for Johnson straight up would have a pretty good deal in its own right? Since that huge April Justin's been playing more like the throw in.

I don't usually like seeing bad injuries, any chance of a little bit of description before i watch it?
he's covering first and receiving the throw (right leg somewhat extended to keep his foot on the bag). the Mets' batter (don't know who) is running to beat the throw and steps directly on Hudson's ankle (it bends his lower leg in an unnatural position).

it's there for you to view after a couple stiff drinks. don't B a skitch.

Indeed. But man have I been pleased seeing him run down balls in the outfield that weren't accessable to our outfielders in years past.
I still love Martin Prado as a player, but that was a hell of a trade.
I like this move for Scott Downs too. (Cory Rasmus)
So the Braves have both Avilan and Downs now to throw lefty out of the pen. Hope Beachy is good tonight.

Train keeps a rollin'. The bats have settled down the past two games but that pitching has stepped it up to compensate. Last six National at-bats were strikeouts. The pen has been amazing in the last 17 games against Washington; 42 innings and no earned runs with like a .109 average. I know, I just cursed them for tomorrow's game. The Braves, who only have seven games left against teams that currently have a winning record, have a very good shot at finishing with NL's best regular season record.
