Wow, was not expecting a sweep. I know it's only two weeks in but the Braves look really, really good this season.

well they don't go to Turner Field so they have to be somewhere, right?....Who is this Gattis guy?
That's first part is so 5-10 years ago. They've been drawing good crowds the past few seasons. Evan Gattis signed with Texas A&M. He never played and left the game for a while. He picked up drugs and got into a wandering period there for a while, not that different from Josh Hamilton's story. Then he got himself back together and the Braves drafted him in 2010 in the 23rd round. He's a corner outfielder by nature but his hitting is what caught people's attention. He had huge winter league numbers and kept hitting in the spring. The Braves' outfield is set for a few seasons as is first base. They are trying to convert him to a catcher but defensively it's charitable to say he's a work in progress. It will be interesting to see what they do with him but it's awfully tough to sit a stick like that. 10 in a row and my buddy who is a Nats fan was sure they were gonna beat up on the Braves over the weekend
#natitude Strasburg is the most overrated pitcher in baseball.
i do like strasburg, but i think you are right, he came in with all the hype and for the most part i think he lived up to it, but he isnt the best pitcher in Baseball by any means, though he could be on the way to it.

Well we all thought this team would be streaky. Normally a trip to Colorado would wake up the bats but the forecast there the next couple days is not baseball friendly.
I'd like to see them take it very slow with Beachy. Get him ready at Triple A for a while, strengthen that arm. Plenty of rest. Work him in maybe for a start in the majors and then if there is an injury or someone needs a DL stint bring him up. We don't know what to expect from him yet coming back from surgery. It obviously won't be a 6 man rotation, they may be forced to move someone maybe even Beachy may have to take a long relief bullpen role this season.

Yeay Freddie Freeman! With all the Puig hype (agreed somewhat deserved) I didn't think he had a chance in the fan vote. I met Freeman in the Atlanta airport after his rookie call-up. He was surprised anybody recognized him. Probably a little more used to it now.
