Hank Aaron RIP

So many incredible stats.
This is possibly the craziest - if a player matched Ruth's single season record of 457 total bases and kept that up for 15 years, he would still be 1 base short of Aaron (6856).

This has been a sad week.

Hank Aaron was such an amazing man and an incredible baseball player.

It makes me sad we won’t see him around town or be able to listen to Don Sutton call a game again.

Wow, was not expecting them to pay fan favorite Marcel Ozuna to come back, especially with Freeman and Dansby getting close to big pay days.

A couple scheduling quirks. The last road division game is August 18. Their longest road trip. 10 games out west, is their last road trip.

That was hard to watch; one hit in 14 innings . :(

Nearly at the 1/4 mark and they look very so-so. Pitching has been inconsistent and the team is hitting way lighter than expected.

i think their bats will come around...the pitching i'm not so sure

my guess is they will go on a 27 game losing streak to end the season and miss the playoffs

Ok so Mike Soroka is now out the rest of this season.

So, that sucks.

Seems like Ozuma’s got bigger issues than broken fingers.
Might as well start looking to ‘22 and if they really will let Freddie test the market.

It’s time to put Luke back in the high leverage situations. No more Martin please.

With last night’s game rained out they play a day/night doubleheader today before hopping the charter to New York for another doubleheader tomorrow against the Mets.
The way the team looks now it has .500ish written all over them, a real disappointment.

Mike Soroka just tore his repaired Achilles again, simply walking into the building this time. He’ll have missed nearly 3 years of Baseball by the time he comes back if he comes back.

I guess it will be interesting to see what they do now. This is a lost year because of liberty media’s budget and the pandemic, I don’t have any earthly idea how they expect to compete without much of a healthy or quality pitching staff.

I’d imagine the creative process should begin in a few weeks. There’s not much reason to buy right now, except for the fact that they have lost a really good year from Acuna by running out one of the worst performing rosters in the majors in 2021. We’re halfway through the year, this is not a good club this year.

Why do they have back to back off days (Aug 25-26) next week?
