The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I've walked and ran about 100km this past week in the Oslo area, and next week I'm going to the west coast for a holiday. Will definitely do some hiking in the forest, also thinking about doing a mountain or two.
Dream about doing the old King's road that linked the east and west of Norway in the really old days. It's 100kms long.
My buddy thinks we are gonna hike 110 km in 3 days. I want to hurt him. He won't back down.
That can be done! I wouldnt personally want to do it but i believe 20 or so miles per day is generally what one shoots for when doing something like the PCT.
I rather hike less and enjoy the area more. I wonder if I could do it though...lower elevation i could easily do it.. Where is the hike?

Manitoba. I think it is actually impossible considering the terrain, the fact there is snow on the ground, the fact we are backpacking and the limited daylight. I have hiked 35 km in a day with full gear and it almost killed me (although I did make a few mistakes that trip and hurt my back, and got nailed by a hornets nest).
