I think this is finally fading in the running community after several studies came out that said inhalers had no impact on the performance of people not suffering from asthma.
I didn't realize it was really all that prevalent.
Unforunately I have asthma and have to run with mine. Since I've been back in Orlando I've had to use it far more frequently due to the area I'm running in. It's not fun.

I worked as part of a start-line clean-up crew at a marathon a couple of years ago and the number of barely used inhalers we had to throw away was crazy. Could have helped an elementary school full of asthmatic kids for an entire year.

I would have taken some of them home. I wouldn't have used the mouthpieces, but I'd have taken the cartridge out.
