Has anyone done both yoga and pilates? Which is better for core strength and relaxation?

Just do a power vinyassa class. I think people here dont really understand how intense yoga can be. The relaxing comes from opening the the muscles, working them, tiring them out, twisting out the organs, etc... But you are also basically holding planks, squats, hand stands, arm and shoulder strength building for an hour.

Fucking try it for fucks sake. ITs not just sitting there rubbing your cock and chanting the whole time.

My wife is into Ashtanga Yoga (where vinyasa flow comes from I think) and I after doing a few classes over the last two years, I have started waking up and doing a 45 minute routine each morning. I have never felt stronger/healthier. Running has become easier as well because of the core and leg strength I've gained.

If you are on the fence about Yoga, give it a try for two weeks at least 3 times each week. You will feel the difference.

! Thats excellent. Running has also gotten much easier for me. My hips, groin, lower back, stomach and everything in between is much stronger, thus taking so much pressure of my knees and joints etc...

So what are the details on the teacher training? How long, what branch, etc? Congratulations on getting the grant.

Its a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance certification. The training is through my studio up here in Vail "revolution power yoga" which is a Baron Baptiste studio. Power Vinyassa emphasis. We meet Fridays 4-8 PM and Saturday/Sunday 9-6, once a month, for 7 months. On top of that we are required to do yoga 4/week, other various workshops, Book curriculum, etc. Sounds pretty intense but I'm telling myself its only 7 months of my life. Maybe one day I can open up my own place that also involves home brewed beers, sandwiches, records, yoga, etc... LOL. Or, at least I'll always be able to find work if my full time career shits the bed!

I like your idea for a yoga studio. Include some massage therapy in there and you're gold!

Saturday morning 1.5 hour practice with 45 total people (open to the community) in a 95 degree room
Saturday afternoon 1.5 hour practice with 15 minutes of sitting in Frog pose (holy fuck that is some of the hardest shit ive done, ouch)
Sunday morning 1.5 hour practice, sunday afternoon 1.5 hour practice.

How do you disguise your erection within your yoga pants?

The Baptiste Power Flow is all about opening the practice up to all levels, my friend. I, also, enjoy putting my paddles on blue and green cruisers.

For now it is but a mere after thought.

Who will set up the RM 1st Annual 1/2 marathon?
