No love for Florida? I still think Tampa is the team to beat overall. Edmonton vs. Toronto for 7 games would be fun, no? I just realized I forgot about Colorado...
This should be a fun playoffs (is it said plural like this?)
I'm very impressed by both Florida and Carolina, I don't have any confidence that Tampa is going to get out of the Central. Florida with Ekblad hurt is a different team, though, and you never know when the Bob is going to fall apart. Also Tampa should get Kucherov back for the playoffs, which is just downright unfair.
The Savard trade was savy & Kucherov makes me think the seeding won't matter for them.
I forgot about Ekblad. That does change the outlook for them.

Also, Boston is only four points up on the Rangers, though they do have two games in hand, so even though the Flyers are done the B's being-in-the-playoffs status isn't exactly guaranteed.

Boston just came off of a stretch of 5 games in 7 days. They were down to their 3rd and 4th string goalies, were missing a couple forwards and 4 of their top 6 defencemen. Between the trades, slowly getting healthy, a less compressed schedule and playing Buffalo 5 out of their next 10 games, I just don't see the Rangers catching them.

Toronto going so all in was a surprise. I just can't see them beating who ever they meet up in the finals and I don't think they can beat Washington if they meet them in semis.
I think "all in" is a major overstatement for what the Leafs did. They moved a first and a couple late round picks. They have a few high-end prospects and they kept all of them.
I also don't think there's much of a gap at all between the Leafs and the top teams in other divisions.

I'm not sure I'd prefer this overall but I'm really enjoying the exclusive in-division schedule right now. Tampa-Carolina the last two nights has been so intense and we're still a month from the playoffs.

its really tiresome to see these ¨good guys¨ talking about any political stuff in tv while also being kinda funny and hip and cool....its just...please enough of this shit.
Pittsburgh was leading New Jersey 6-0 heading into the third and held on to win 7-6. Crazy.
What’s happened to the Leafs the past two games?
Ugliness.
First game - I thought the Leafs dominated play pretty handily, but Holtby was amazing. As soon as Vancouver tied it up, it felt like them winning was inevitable. Given everything they've been through, it was a pretty cool story.
Second game - Much more evenly played, but Holtby was more just "ok". Then Rittich allowed three weak, unscreened shots to go through him and it was game over.
They've been crazy streaky lately...
Started the season 18-4-2 Then went 1-6 Then went 9-1 Now 0-3-2
I'd like to think Foligno coming it would give them a bit of a spark, but... I guess we'll see.
the fact the pens are playing the way they are despite so many man games lost due to injury gives me some hope this post season
I hope they lose in 4 games in the first round.
this wouldnt surprise me in the least as i think their playoff bracket has some of the best teams in the league this year top to bottom
I don't have high hopes for my Bs, but Hall's goal last night was pretty.
If the Bruins defence can get and stay healthy then they stand a decent chance of getting out of their division. They just don't have the defensive depth to be able to shoulder any injuries.

I hate the D outside of Miller, Carlo & McAvoy. Reilly has been such a surprise.

That's four good D. That's at best one less than any other team. But man, the Bruins depth D suck bad.

Zboril & Lauzon are awful. Clifton & Kampfer are at least big enough to be mildly physical, but they still make poor decisions in their own end. The big Fin (I can't spell or say his name) seems either undeveloped or bad, he hasn't played enough for me to know.
Lastly, Grzelyck is just Krug 2.0, which means 1 dimensional.
