pretty sure i'm permanently retired. good run, though.

whyyyyyy

balance stuff that's led to some seemingly chronic back stuff. never say never, but running puts too much strain on me mortal coil

Have you tried to have a surgery?

no surgery to fix the head/balance stuff. trying to stave off back surgery.

Maybe a doctor can help.

4.20 miles today for a grand total of 103 miles in January. Time for a donut and maybe a rest day or two before I keep at it.

Probably right around 40. Very hilly.

Back from Austin. Needed to get in a run this morning since it had been four days. Wanted to get to 7 miles but the cold and the lack of sleep and the rust kinda got to me. I did 5 miles at a 9:25 paces. Felt rough but also really good to be back.

I'd intended on taking it really, really slow. But the cold made me speed up.

31.3 miles in January. While that's behind the pace for my stated goal of 500 miles in the year, I think it's pretty good. January in upstate NY doesn't always make it easy to run outside, and I'm sure I'll be able to log extra miles in the spring to make up for. 31 miles doesn't leave me too much behind the right ball in terms of both getting behind on mileage nor on getting too much out of shape. I think I'm still generally on target.

Nice. I was around the same for January. No way I’ll hit 500 for the year though. Maybe 400.

Back to back 5's @ 9:25.

Gotta love it.

Had to get another run in before the temps drop to unbearable.

Definitely taking tomorrow off.

I decided to do a short run before dark. Went 1.20 in 11:00 and good lord I was sucking wind for 5 minutes after. There was a moderately steep hill so maybe that got me.
