Saucony Endorphin Speed 10k today. Wow. You can really feel the energy return from the carbon plate. Cushy compared to the Pros. My mile pace was about 15 seconds slower but anything over 10k distance this will be my shoe. They'd probably be great for shorter runs too but it seems like a waste to use them for that. Like telling an NBA player to go play high school. Incredible shoe. Worth every cent of the 160 dollars. No wonder they are never on sale.

did 5k for the first time in over a week...first two miles felt really good...mile three my thighs started barking pretty hard and stomach cramped, but finished in 31:10...my conservative goal was 33:00, so i'm content

These Adizero Pros are a weird shoe. I feel myself steering the shoe rather than the shoe controlling me. And again, not a soft shoe. It's going to make my legs stronger though. Looking forward to a few soft rides in the Speeds for the weekend.

I haven't been on a run in two weeks and I'm getting kind of depressed by that fact. I'll get back out there, but man.

Two weeks ago, a non-covid virus worked it's way thru our household. When I wasn't sick, I was taking care of the rest of the fam. Last week I was woefully understaffed for opening weekend for baseball and just couldn't leave work or find an end to errands for work. A run would have really done my head good but just couldn't find the time. I'm on fumes with sleep but hope to get back out there tomorrow AM.

Thinking about giving run commuting a try. If I cut through a county park it's only about 3 miles each way to work. But then I'm wiping myself down with paper towels in the bathroom like a truck stop whore. Not sure I like that.
