Over my altitude sickness, hammy is feeling good... I'm gonna fucking crush a trail tomorrow morning.

Been running in the Saucony Omnis I bought last fall lately. I initially gave up on them because they're a slightly lower drop than my Brooks, which I thought was causing some achilles/calf pain. But now they're fine. Not quite as comfy as the Brooks, but this gives me hope that I might be able to transition into more neutral/minimalist shoes someday.

Every Adidas I've ever tried has been way too narrow for my neanderthal feet.

Well, I didn't really "crush" it, but it was a fun run.

Hamstring would bark at me if I extended my gait, so I couldn't really open it up on the flats and downs.

Altitude sickness returned, but it only lasted for an hour or so. This place is only about 500 feet higher than my sister's place in Northern AZ, so I don't really understand why I'd be getting it here and not there.

Much more like it!

7.21 miles @ an 8.43 pace. Still humid but lower temps and overcast skies helped. Finally, a decent run. Feels like it's been a year.

It only counts if it's added to Strava

Pouring rain for the last 8km of my run today. That and being sick and it was a lot. But I pulled through. And it was kind of fun running in the rain for a while.

Thanks. I'm gaining in confidence I can get this done. October is only a few months away now.

I'm in full lard-ass vacation mode this week. Spent this afternoon at a brewery, had a huge meal with dessert at a German restaurant, came back to the AirBnb and had a cookie the size of a dinner plate. God help me.

Sounds like a normal Friday night for me. Minus the beer.

I've been on the treadmill every day this week.

Got up to 7 miles today without the hamstring growling at me.

I have a blister on the inside of my right big toe. Tomorrow is a rest day but heavy miles Saturday and Sunday await. What should I do with it?

Lance it and put some moleskin on it.
