Mother nature beat the piss out of me this morning. Got pelted with hail the size of marbles for about 10 minutes straight. I look like someone emptied a cartridge of paintballs on my shoulders and arms.

Welp, I jumped on the trampoline with the kids for 2 hours last night instead of going for a run, so my streak is over.

Guess I'm glad it ended early this time instead of getting into the 200s like before and getting knocked out by illness or injury.

2 hours on a trampoline should count for something.

My legs have felt super heavy for the last couple weeks. I think I'm gonna do a medium run (10 or so) on Saturday, then shut 'er down until Grandma's. Maybe do a mile or two the day before the race. 5 days of rest sounds amazing right now.

The heat fucking destroyed me this morning. 95 when I got back at 8:30.

I don't think I have a the balls to make the switch to Tailwind this Saturday. Need more time to experiment with the powder-to-water ratio. Too strong and I feel bloated and gross, too weak and I have to piss every 20 minutes. Gu it is. Forecast looks hot, humid, and rainy.

Smart move.

I love Tailwind, but you have to find the mix that's right for you.

I prefer it weak, so I just put one scoop in the same hand-held that you have.

11 days until Western States!

Can Jim Walmsley actually control his pace and NOT blowup?

Can Courtney Dauwalter continue her streak against real competition?

today I bought a pair of boston 6s and adios 3s. I loved my old adios, but I thought I would try out the bostons for running and keep the adios for chill stuff. well I ran in the bostons today and they felt clumsy and loose to me. I dunno. I remember I had size 10 in my old adidas and then i got 10.5 in the adios which was perfect but I feel like maybe I needed a size smaller in the bostons to back to a 10?

I love running in the rain, but a full-on T-storm... ugh.

Sorry, dude.

I've worn Boston's for a while now and they've always been the type of shoe that hugs your foot and requires a break in period for them to feel right on me. Are they the newest version 7s? I have a pair of those that I've only just tried on but they do seem to run slightly larger than the 6s.

When is the start time for Duluth? Looks like there could be a window at 9.

7:45 for the full, 6:45 for the half. Short of cancellation, I'll take whatever weather they throw at me. A little rain would be nice.

It either rains or is humid. I’ve run it twice in the rain. Those were fun. You’ll take it over humidity any day. Have a great race, Tim.
