whatever happened to normal guys that excercise in sweat pants?

Even though I'm not running long distances, I prefer to feel sleek and aerodynamic. I hate feeling my clothes on me. Stretch pants have no lag when I run.

sweat pants.

I thought your sweat pants post was in response to me running in stretch pants.

Running in sweatpants sounds awful.

Sweat pants? I'm trying to stay warm and run faster, not training to fight Apollo Creed.

Only way I could see running in sweatpants would be to layer over tights in 5 degree weather.

Even then, if the tights are halfway decent they're going to wick moisture right into the sweats. You'd be carrying an extra 5 lbs of sweat by the end.

I'll be testing out my new stretch pants tonight after work as I take in a solid mile and a half of downtown pavement.

Killed it running downtown tonight. Shaved nearly a minute off my pace since I started back up again. I think all the motion, lights and sounds energize me. Last time I ran downtown was the same. I just feel faster, like I’m being pulled by the current of a swift sidewalk river running through a steel canyon.

Thanks. I feel like I oversold it a bit, though. I'm only running 2 miles or less at a time and it's warmed up significantly in the last week. Still, I'm stoked to see progress like that.

Ran out to Plateau Point and back with my brother at the Grand Canyon.

Kinda rekindled my love for that place. Gonna do a R2R2R run in the Spring.

That's insane in a good way. I was tired enough just doing a fast trek from rim to river and back.
