So I skipped two days in a row, putting myself firmly in the RM Strava basement. I feel the need to explain myself to my fans and my foes. The reason I skipped is threefold:
1. My ankles are really hurting TBH 2. It’s not a competition, guys. It’s just not. And besides, my 10k training doesn’t start for another week, so take it when you can get it, amirite? 3. Skipping the weekend pretty much forces me to run tomorrow, and I really like starting my week with a solid run.
F the haters :Gomez:
^will someone please forward this to Rob?

70 miles @ 7:05 was definitely too much last week, but I just couldn't see going into a marathon without a 20-miler.
Still think a sub-3 is a stretch goal.
First 6 miles is downhill, so I'll need to reign my shit in. I've gotten in trouble before by thinking I could "bank" miles early and ended up blowing out my legs. I'll limit my pace to 6:30 in the early miles.
I did every run in this training cycle without fuel or water, so I'm guessing Gatorade and a gel or two will give a me decent kick.
Weather looks perfect as of now. 40 degrees and cloudy at start.
Another 8 mile run. Outside. Averaged a faster pace than yesterday. Had 2 miles faster than my fastest yesterday. Body still feels great. No struggles. No pain. No stiffness.
pretty good. problem is i dont push myself hard enough. the lunch runs are just to burn off aggravation of office life but hopefully the weather keeps around the same here, though yesterday and tomorrow i will not be able to partake in that since i have powerapps training all day

47 degrees. Sunny. Holy shit that run felt great. 8 miles and I felt goddamn invincible. No aches and pains. No tension or strain. Good breath.
Fuck! I love running!
Oh man. I’m feeling this post so much today. I ran around some trails and through downtown Austin this morning and it was unreal how good I felt. Zero soreness, never got winded, decent pace. Even with hills, which I’m not used to. It was either the few days rest I recently took or the very clean and dry air in that part of the state, but I’m still thinking about that great run.
