Been mixing the Boston 9s and 7s. The 9s have a snappy toe off but are noticably less forgiving with cushioning. There seems to be less boost foam and more of this new lightstrike material on the 9s. It'll be interesting to see how the 9s hold up going over 10 miles.

I've always worn an 11.5 and that's never varied for any of the Bostons I've owned, which go back to the 5. The upper is a lot different on the 9. It's thinner with lots of ventilation and a it's little less locked down feeling. The tongue is also different in that it's more of just a flat tab than something with any padding. The Continental Tire stuff is still on the bottom and feel grippy like always. It feels like a snappier shoe I could really push pace with more than one I would log 2 hour runs in, but maybe that's just the newness out of the box? New shoes always feel really fast out of the box for me.

I would rank the last five Bostons this way:

1. 7
2. 9
3. 6
4. 5
5. 8

As much as I spend on Bostons I've never sprung for the Adios, although I suspect I'd do just fine in them. The SLs are all lightstrike right? I need some boost foam and I'm a bit worried Adidas is trying to phase it out to shave negligible amounts of weight from their shoes.

As far as the 8, they seemed stiff to me and my achilles got pretty sore running in them.

You should try running 5k by sprinting then walking in intervals. You can probably end up with a good time doing that.

Tens of millions of people around the world have found their Garmin devices, including those used by runners, cyclists and pilots, down for a fifth day after being hacked by Russian group Evil Corps which is demanding a $10m ransom to restore their operation.

Garmin has been ordered to pay the ransom by the cybercriminal group headed by a 33-year-old Russian playboy hacker, Maksim Yakubets, who drives a customized $250,000 Lamborghini.

In December 2019, the FBI placed a $5 million bounty on Yakubets head for information leading to his capture. It is the largest reward being offered for an alleged criminal connected to cybercrime.
