The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
there’s a part of me that wants to give 10k a go…I’d absolutely have to walk a lot and figure how the best way to control my pace…i’m not sure i could do it in better than 1:05 right now

I'm finding a lot of good running out where I drop my toddler off for school. Next county over. On surface level it's mostly sprawl and suburban grid, but look further and there are plenty of trees and trails along the Brazos river banks. Lot of wilderness hidden just on the outskirts of town. Even a +/- 10ft elevation change on certain segments. I'm practically an ultra runner at this point.

Just signed up for a half in March 2022. May have to actually train my mind to think about pace and speed soon. Bah.
I'm up to 8 miles on my long runs currently, so I'm thinking this far out I should spend the rest of the year building endurance and then focusing on speed starting in January. I put my estimated finish time at 2:07 based on my current long run pace, but I think I should probably shoot for under 2 hours as a tangible goal.
