I had to take a few days off last week because I ran two miles barefoot on the beach and got some painful blisters

i hate running barefoot on the beach

feels very unnatural

and likely to cause injury

would rather run/bike a boardwalk, walk to water, and swim in water

Easily top 3 best feeling runs I’ve had. The second mile was faster than it felt, and I never really felt taxed until I tried to sprint the last .15ish. Mile paces below

1- 9:25
2 - 9:10
3- 8:25

Thank you. I fully expect my next few to go back to mediocre though.

4.22 in 42:00...I was sprinting out the last stretch and would have liked to have gone further. I wanted to do a casual, longer run so i'm happy overall.

80/113

I went on a completely different route today and saw an 8’ tall Xmas snowman decoration fully inflated in someone’s front yard.

Rational hate.

You probably have to take it with a small grain of salt because most days I stop the timer for a couple minutes while I let the dog go potty. Then start up again, so I get like 2 minutes of rest and it doesn’t affect my pace.

I also pause the timer when waiting at big/long intersections.

Which leads me to a question for durdles … assuming you are running in the city and encounter a LOT of intersections, are you just standing there a lot while the (pace) clock continues to roll?

Hey that's still really good though. If I stopped for 2 minutes I'm guessing I could shave 30 secondsish off each mile.

Running in bit cities with intersections like that would drive me nuts.

I ran 3 miles tonight for the first time in almost a month. I survived. That is all.

Nice work Lenny. Were you being chased or just running for exercise?

It started out as exercise, but then Joe started chasing me. He's very quick and handsy.
