My new strategy might be 1 long run a week.
How about two medium to long runs?
Why tho? What's your theory behind that?
More time away from your mind.
If it was sustainable I would run daily probably
I haven't been able to run for weeks
What's your injury?
Knee semi-locks up at random intervals when walking. Can last a few minutes to over a day and during that period can't put any weight on that leg. Got a referral to a specialist tonight

I'm just glad after the 2nd physio appointment I've been put onto a specialist. Can hopefully get an MRI soon and find out what's actually going on. Should be running again by the year end. Although I think marathon in Sept is out

Did a 4.5 mile recovery run today. 9:30 pace. Felt good and strong and I liked trying to go a tad slower than yesterday. It's good for me to restrict my pace sometimes. Hopefully later in the week I can drop down to a 10 min per pace.

Nice work. I get it on restricting the pace feeling better sometimes.

It's a good change of pace. Especially for someone like me who tends to want to keep getting faster. The discipline in intentionally slowing down is a good thing.

I’m the same way. I wanted to focus on going further without walking, which 100% requires slowing down for me. I am feeling the pull to go back to trying for my best time, so maybe I should just mix it up.

I like mixing things up. I think that's super helpful.
Yup I keep trending in the right direction. I hate that I have to run on pavement for 4kms where I currently live but I also have better terrain when I am on the trails so it's a trade I guess.
