The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Just registered for Mt. Desert Island marathon on Oct. 14. We will be in Maine during our honeymoon. The knee is probably going to be fine eventually. Can't wait to start ramping up and getting a good base back.
Most "serious" runners hate those Higdon plans, but I like how simple they are and the Marathon Pace/Long Run back-to-backs on weekends. I grow tired of all the "progression" and "ladder" runs that flood some of the plans.

Push ups are not a good way to prove manliness.
In basically every ancient hunter-gather society, the males with endurance were seen as superior in the tribe.
The big chested, "manly" men myth can be traced back to the gladiator days when they were kept fat and somewhat "muscly" to ensure they had lots of subcutaneous fat, so there would be more blood and guts when they were gashed.
