Thx bro. I just set the dreadmill to a 10:00 pace. The first was like 10:15 because it took a bit to speed up, but I hustled the last half of the run in 4:20.

Houston marathon and half marathon today. Proud to say I have several friends running the half this year. Drove thru downtown on my way to work this morning to feel the energy.

Big races that close streets and disrupt regular activity seems like the sort of thing that would annoy city residents, but I'm always pleasantly surprised to see that most cities feel some real pride and enjoyment about their big race days.
There are a number of 5k races in the spring that I have done before and part of me would like to continue. There’s also an 8k that I had in mind too. A friend who wants to get back into running after a two year absence also asked me about doing a race comprised of a half marathon and 10k. It’s highly unlikely I do it since I think it will be very hilly.
But, there’s another part of me that doesn’t want to race at all. Even if I tell myself to just go out and enjoy it, the results still get in my head and I set myself up for disappointment.

Third 7 miler of the week today. I haven't done 7 in a while and I haven't done three 7's in a week in close to a year. Not since Brooklyn Half training last year.
I just had one of the best feeling fast runs i've had. 3.11 in 28:22, which is nowhere near my PR, but I'm very happy with the results. Got faster each mile also.
