I've been so ridiculously lethargic and tired lately, but i'm going to do 3 miles tomorrow even if I walk half of it. I really need to go out even when I don't feel particularly good or fresh.

I'm taking off work so I have no excuse. Weather should be decent in the early afternoon also. I'm not even sure I can beat 33 minutes, but whatever.

I turned off my watch at 3.5 because I thought I was spent and my stomach was feeling weird, but after I walked just a little piece I knew I had more in me so I finished out 4 miles total at probably around 40:15 to 40:30. I looked at my splits and was moving faster than I realized because I didn't think I was close to that pace. It's nothing grand, but I'm pretty happy considering how I've felt lately and how little I've gone. Planning on doing 4 again Wednesday and maybe Friday.

I've realized i'm going to have go to the Greenway trail instead of around my neighborhood. It's not lit so I'll have to get up a lot earlier than I'd like and try to become a morning runner :/. I may be able to get over there on lunch breaks sometimes too, but would only have time for 3 miles probably.

I did a four miler yesterday and a 3.5 today just to stretch, keep warm, and knock some rust off. Tomorrow I'll do some weight/cross training. Hopefully, I'll be able to really race well on Thursday. But it's really more about the getting out and doing, the having fun, and the annual Holiday mediation of being active in the face of gluttony that really matters. If I race well, great! If I struggle, so what? I still ran five miles.

300 miles on the Kinvara 11s. Still a comfortable shoe, but they're starting to show a slight breakdown in the midsole and I don't think they'll make it too far past 400. I've also got about 100 miles on my Altra Escalante racers.

Race is in March, so I definitely need to start thinking about what's next. Tempted to pick up another pair of K11's, but most of the good colorways are gone by now. Intrigued by the 12s but something about the profile on the heel isn't my style.

About how many miles do you guys put into a shoe before it's ready for race day? There's a strong possibility I go with some Kinvaras as a daily trainer and switch to something else on race day. Wonder if I could do a half distance in zero drop altras if the stack is right? (looking at you, rivera and torin...)

Awesome effort. Good or bad run, do you find that you're always happy you ran, afterwards?

Not always, but I have been better about that lately. Just trying to change my perspective, but I’m still going to be results oriented enough

No expectations today other than to finish, but I did 4 miles in 40:33 so really about the same as Monday. TBH the whole thing felt like a slog, but I'm not sure I've ever done 8 miles in two days so I feel pretty good about myself.

I crashed all afternoon though. This has been happening a lot lately and part of me is concerned.

My watch was a little faster than their official mile markers. I haven't gotten the official time stats yet but according to my watch I ran an 8:08 pace. Which is way better than I expected. I was hoping for an 8:30 pace.

Feeling good. Now I'm gonna go make some green bean casserole to take over to a friend's place for Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving, runners!

That’s awesome (the running not the green bean casserole). Race day adrenaline is a real thing.
