Exercise. Everyday. You set the minimum. Be honest. Running. Swimming. Cycling. Walking. Weight training. Yoga. Anything. ***Anyone who completes a 365-day streak will get a free high-quality (probably Patagonia) T-shirt with a cool RM-related design. I'll extend this to March 1, 2015, for anyone who wants to join or has already ballsed up their streak and wants to restart. turned2black: Running. 5-mile minimum. oasisfan35: 25 minutes of resistance training or 2 miles of running narr: 30 minutes of walking ruddo: one hour of working out or 2 miles of running sarge: 15km spin/mountain bike or 2.4km running or weights/core workout verb_to_trust: Running. 3-mile minimum. Rangi Guy: Running, work-out. 30 minutes. red calzolaio: Go to gym. SND: Bike or run. |

10 miles in 67 minutes Late run, but felt great. Low 40s with a stiff breeze. Good half-mile finishing kick. 34 out. 33 back. Great run. Streak counter: 6 |

This is actually not a bad idea. Can you start low and adjust your minimum later on? |

narr wrote: This is actually not a bad idea. Can you start low and adjust your minimum later on? I would say absolutely. Making fitness a priority is something that must be fostered and you don’t want to set the bar too high to begin before having a chance to promote the habit. Plus, in modern society one thing you can’t buy, next to love anyway, is time; I’d say adjust your goals accordingly but keep the streak as the main concern. For myself, I know my schedule gets awfully crunched so I’m going with twenty-five minutes of resistance training or two miles of running per day as my minimum. I didn’t get in to the house until after midnight last night so I’ll be starting today. Nice job, t2b. |

Thanks, of35. I added you to the OP. Happy exercising, friend. I'll help motivate you the best I can. Narr, absolutely! Start low, then adjust. This is meant to be flexible and fun. As long as you're exercising everyday! |

I've felt myself almost slipping back into a depression of sorts, so this will not be an 'exercise to get fit' thing for me, but more of a 'get out of the house so I don't go nuts' thing. So sign me up for a minimum 30 minutes of outdoors walking every day. |

I'll start tomorrow, because it's already pitch dark and since I just moved here, I don't really know the surroundings at all. |

You guys don't see the benefit of having a separate thread to track how the participants are doing? Really? |

Post subject: | Re: The running/exercise streak thread |
Because the board will surely implode if there is one more thread which not everyone finds useful. |

The other thread was people saying "hey so today I run/lifted X", this new one will be... pretty much the same? |

Post subject: | Re: The running/exercise streak thread |
This thread is for people who want to exercise for consecutive days in a row. And want some added motivation and accountability. While, yes, we could have done that in the work-out thread, this should make it easier for participants to track how everyone's doing. |
