The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I discovered a park with a huge MTB trail system 2 miles from my house yesterday. Well, I knew the park was there but thought the only entrance was way on the other side, making it impractical for weekday running. Turns out there's a secret entrance right off my usual route. And the first mile has pretty much every trail characteristic you're going to find here--ski trails, single track, uphills, downhills, sand, roots, rocks, pavers, switchbacks, etc. I should be able to run there, run that section for 15-20 minutes, and run home without having to wake up ridiculously early. Game changer.

The Boston Boost Gods have smiled upon you, my son.
I downloaded a custom face from Garmin IQ that displays HR, avg pace, cadence, overall time and distance on one screen. I think it's called single run field.

why is average pace or cadence useful??
Cadence isn't really, but I prefer avg pace to current pace. With current I feel like I'm constantly checking my watch and either speeding up or slowing down.
