Ribs are more sore today than a few days ago. Compression of any kind hurts at about a 6/10 pain scale. What's up with that? No running for me tomorrow AM.
dude, if you're 6/10 pain how are you doing life at all?

Tommy Rivs is running it after his near death hospital experience last year. So cool to see that. His story is kind of what got me serious about committing to this sport.
You running/volunteering/headed that way, Joe?

Of course I'll be out cheering folks on. I have a good friend running this year. So a group of us will meet up in Manhattan and try to see him a couple of times. But my wife and I will also get up earlier and try to see the elites in Brooklyn.

Joe - I'm really enjoying following the NYC marathon on instagram today. I know you're watching from Manhattan and I'm super jealous. Does the Brooklyn segment pass near your 'hood? You don't have to answer that if it's too traggish.

Indeed. My wife and I saw the elites run in our hood (mile 7/8) before we headed into Manhattan. They pass on Flatbush Ave, only a fifteen minute walk from our place.
We watch from near or place every year! If we hadn't been meeting out of town friends we would have just posted up there probably, like we usually do.
The other shoes above just end up being too heavy, so I swapped them out for the below Saucony Freedoms the other day. Hopefully I can get out before sunset this evening and try them out. Not as aesthetically pleasing, but I think they will work well for the speed and distance i'll likely be doing regularly.

Those have a similar weight and drop to the saucony kinvara 11s, which are the greatest running shoes a person can wear. Hope you get some good runs out of them, len.
