It's real in Tampa baby, pandemic sports capital of the world.

Tampa is an oddball city but they are living the sports dream right now.
Braves were 4-25 with RISP over the last three games. Too many bad strikeouts and some bad base running did them in more than pitching. While I do feel like this team is on the rise again like Electro said there's no promises they'll get this close again. No argument that LA was the better team but Atlanta couldn't finish when they had them on the ropes.

Trade Riley immediately. Him and Swanson. You can’t be that stupid running the fucking bases.

Just like Lonnie Smith you ass holes are going down in Lore.

3 fucking hits, and this bullpen is overrated as hell.

Fucking choking ass bastards.

Go ahead and leave Freddie, this team ain’t shit.

Oh the Dodgers are so good... and they were down 3-1.

Throw fucking strikes and close it out.

They won’t be back, because they were actually healthy this year. They’re always worn out and hurt by September every other year. The pitching talent in the organization is vastly overrated as is the rest of the talent and they quite obviously aren’t good enough and being the stupid ass Braves, they’ll hang another moral victory banner, and miss out on Trevor Bauer because that would cost money. Go find Another useless washed Vet spend 18 and go no where in 2021 too Alex.

Acuna, hopping all over the place and didn’t do shit.

Take your moral victory and blow it out your ass.

Spare me the best shape of my life shit next spring too.

How would like to be a a fan of a team that just spent a season losing as many games as they could on purpose and thought “financial flexibility” was better than having Mookie Betts?

I’m sorry Numbers, I saw some Red Sox ball this season, I know it was awful. We had our own Frank Wren and then John Coppalella era here which led to some really stupid and painful organizational decisions. While none of the players were Mookie Betts, it made baseball generally uninteresting for a few years, combining that with this damn pandemic, I understand your frustration. I’m sure given the vast resources of Red Sox Ownership, they wont be down too long, and they’ll probably be closer to the Dodgers model rather than Tampa’s.

Pretty much every team the last ~30 years has had lows just as low... most of them haven't also won four titles.

You can fuck right off with your 4 titles.

Except 2004 that was actually pretty cool.

And yet the Red Sox made the playoffs 9 of the 15 seasons between 2004 and 2018, so.

Post subject:  Re: MLB

Just because numbers are fun, the Sox have the 5th highest winning percentage of the 2010s (872-748, behind NYY, LAD, WAS, and STL) though they're tied for 8th in most playoff appearances.

Going back a little further, the Sox were 2nd in the 2000s, 5th in the 1990s, and 6th in the 1980s, making the playoffs 16 of the 40 seasons (5th most during that period, again trailing only NYY, ATL, LAD, and STL). You'd have to go back to the 1950s to find a decade where Boston didn't make the playoffs at least once.

From 1980 to today they have the 2nd highest regular season winning percentage (trailing only NYY).

I think a lot of fans would take that kind of success in a heartbeat.
