It's kind of wild that he wasn't called up until he was 28. If you look at his minor league stats, he always had some pop--it's crazy to think that it just took him that long to develop his hit tool.

The Braves are pretty much going to be running out openers when Fried isn’t pitching. Hope they get to the 3rd I guess. It’s kind of amazing to have 1 healthy starter in the organization to feel good about, but that’s the state of that staff. Fried and some guys now.

i did look at his minor league stats and he really raked against AAA opponents...awhile before he was called up even
