The final three games of a four-game series between the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins has been called off because of a spring snowstorm. 14” of snow has fallen on the Twin Cities so far and snow is expected to continue into Sunday. :gomez:

But wow, that was impressive. From 10-2 to lose 14-10

Pretty good reminder how far off they are.

It'll be the worst inning of the year. It happened. It sucked. We really aren't that far off though. Especially when you consider that we will be major free agent players next winter. We have the pieces. Trust the process. 2019 NL East Champions.

We havnt got 14" where I am in Wisconsin but weve had a good 24+ hours of sleet/rain/snow mixture of a good 6+ inches. I cant even get out of my drive way this morning.
I was talking to a friend who coaches high school baseball and he said theyre already canceling this whole week and next week as well most likely. It reminds us of our sophmore year in High School, we were taking groundballs in the gym and fly balls in the school parking lot up till 2 days before our first game that year. Then it snowed again and we had to shovel the field off just so the varsity could play.

But yeah, they should have built a retractable roof :D

Oh I do, but 10 or 12 runs on 3 hits is somewhat amazing. Still excited about Acuna.

Just don't get too attached to any of the prospects.

I say this as an unapologetic, Arlington loathing Houston fan...

The way Bartolo gave up the ball after the broken up no-no was classy AF. Much respect for that veteran.

I was pitching small sticks to my 8 y/o nephew today who was hitting them with a stickball bat. He really connected on one and hit a good comebacker right at me. I was facing into the sun so I didn't see it coming and it whammed me right in the jaw. I am still bleeding and my jaw is sore. Please also pray for me

What did Gumbel really expect Jeter to say? and, why didn't Jeter go to the standard "rebuilding for a better sustainable future" line like most GM's / Owners?
Not to mention this isn't the first time the Marlins have pulled this. They are practically the definition of "tanking"

Did anyone else see the spray chart of Pujols' entire career? Mesmerizing.

What a weird career that guy has had. I remember that when Baseball Reference first became a thing, he was one of the first guys I started to obsess over when it came to crunching stats and projecting into the future. The first ten years of his career were just bonkers.

That's pretty cool. And yeah, his first 10 years might be the best first 10 ever.

I didn't realize he was a good bunter.

Also, lol at that one really monster homer, so far out there away from all of the others.

My son and I watched the spray chart together and both of us laughed at that bomb immediately. 600 feet, suckers!

I didn't see a spray chart, but MLB network did show Ichiros hits by direction last week when his agent announced hes done playing for this season but not retiring.

I cant remember the exact numbers, but it was something like 750+ to left, 750+ to right 800+ to center and 700+ on the infield. It was pretty insane at how even the numbers were.
