Sports are funny.
Verlander comes in on a first place team with a 1.22 ERA and just dominated us last time he pitched here. Tonight, as the last place team in the division, we hit 4 dingers off him and are leading 6-1 in the 8th.

Yes many of the major statistical categories in baseball are referred to as averages, whereas similar statistics in other sports are referred to as percentages. That is true. Good point, Mickey.

The 1996 Chicago Bulls won the championship in 6 game series. The 1996 New York Yankees won the championship in 6 game series.
Bulls season from game 1 to championship game was 7 months and 13 days.
Yanks season from game 1 to championship hame was 6 months and 24 days. (aka Shorter season)

Did you see Mina Kimes throw out the first pitch the other night?

F*ck no. I still don’t get this whole Mina Kimes thing. I saw a video of it. Meh.
Mickey, say what you mean, playa.
Ruddo, the last game I went to I did see this though. Warning, you might want to avert your eyes so you won’t have to remember him this way. Father Time has not been kind.
