The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I really would love to see them go after Kimbrel. He could be a serious difference maker for the bullpen (which might be the only slight weakness of the team) the second half of the season. Keuchel doesn’t excite me much, but he’d be better than the current 5th (and possibly 4th) starter for the Twins, and obviously has the potential to be a front end starter if things go really well for him, so I’d gladly take that addition too. But my hope is their focus is on Kimbrel.

The Twins are the only team in baseball with a double-digit lead in their division, and they're also the only team in the American League Central with a winning record. They're 11 1/2 games in front of the White Sox and Indians.
The Twins have a run differential of +109, 10 runs better than the Astros (+99) and 15 better than the Dodgers (+94).
Minnesota has won 15 of its past 18 games, scoring 137 runs with 36 homers. With their win on Sunday, the Twins reached 40 wins faster than any season in the franchise’s 119 seasons in the league, which includes the Washington Senators. And how about Jake Odorizzi? He's 8-0 with a 1.02 ERA (6 ER/53 IP) since April 17. Six of his past seven starts have been scoreless outings, and he has not allowed a run in 16 1/3 innings.
My best friend is a diehard Twins fan. He's really enjoying this season but he's said multiple times, "We're still going to get swept by the fucking Yankees in the playoffs."

We all believe that’s going to happen until it finally doesn’t happen. But this is a WAAYYY different team than the Twins have ever had.

PHATJ: when are the fine people of minneapolis/st. paul and the greater metropolitan area going to come out and support this absolute juggernaut of a team? i just saw that the twins are averaging just over 22,000 people per game, which is a full 2,000 people less than last year's team.

The weather was ATROCIOUS through the first six weeks of the season. They had three sellouts over the last homestand. And school is out tomorrow. I’d expect big crowds most of the summer.
