Something that has been coming up recently is the Bills decision to trade up to take Sammy Watkins this past draft. In hindsight, it looks like giving up a 1st in the 2015 draft could have been overpaying, when they easily could've picked Odell Beckham Jr, Kelvin Benjamin, Jordan Matthews or Jarvis Landry. I've seen some irksome Buffalo reporters point this out, forgetting that hindsight is 20/20. Also, these guys are all rookies and Beckham has a Super Bowl winning QB throwing to him, while Watkins had Kyle Orton. Watkins still figures to be a great player for years to come.
Seeds of discontent were sown in Buffalo last May, when the Bills traded up to land wide receiver Sammy Watkins.
According to sources in the Bills' draft room, former Buffalo head coach Doug Marrone clearly was not happy with the trade.
Marrone was not in favor of Buffalo surrendering a future first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns in a trade that did not involve a quarterback, sources said.
There are different accounts of exactly how unhappy Marrone was, with some sources recalling he stormed out of the room, and other sources simply saying he walked out of the room.
I think it should be noted that Schefter and Marrone have the same agent. It seems like he's trying to distance himself from any perceived mistakes no matter if he had anything to do with them. I find it odd that there wasn't even a hint at him walking out of the draft room after it supposedly happened, especially when a shouting match was documented during preseason between marrone and a few front office guys.
The Buffalo Bills are putting the finishing touches on a deal that will make Rex Ryan their next head coach, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The hiring of Ryan would complete an extensive coaching search for the Bills, who have interviewed 12 candidates since Doug Marrone opted out of his contract on Dec. 31.
The Bills conducted a second interview with Ryan on Saturday night, sources told ESPN.
The offensive coordinator Ryan is most likely to bring with him to Buffalo is the San Francisco 49ers' Greg? Roman, a source told ESPN.
what a fun offseason. If it doesn't work out and they have to make some serious cuts next season due to possible cap trouble and all the free agents are like:

It all comes down to that QB position for the Bills--they're pretty well situated elsewhere. I did like Tyrod Taylor when he came out of college and hope that he gets a legit chance.
I'm pretty sure I could pick up first downs throwing nothing but crossing routes and screens in the offense the Bills have put together. Should be fun to watch.

and that's the thing. so should any one of the QBs on the roster. well, except for Cassell and that Tuel fellow.
i like EJ's ability to run, just don't throw it down field! i know little about this Tyrod guy. he's probably pretty fast i guess.
it's funny to me how so many friends and people i draft with act like McCoy has been hurt so much throughout his career. with the exception of the 2009 season, he has been solid when it comes to staying healthy.
next man/men up. Dixon, Brown, Williams. bring it.
ah, can't believe that totally slipped my mind. i think they'll be alright if Brown doesn't fumble. more than anything, the team will miss Fred's leadership and professionalism.
