It sucks that Notre Dame got embarrassed, but it was some consolation that Brent Musburger will have to register as a sex offender after his performance last night.

We always try to capture interesting storylines and the relationship between an Auburn grad who is Miss Alabama and the current Alabama quarterback certainly met that test. However, we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that.

It was a little weird, but I feel like this has been overblown.
it is, but if he had stopped at saying man he is a lucky guy to have such a pretty girlfriend then it would have been no big deal, but instead he had to keep going and tell young kids in alabama to start throwing a football so you could be a QB and have someone like that, he definitely sounded bad with it.

Oh yeah. It wasn't really the best message to send.
Did you guys think it a bit weird when AJ went over to his family and her after the game? It looked he wasn't really interested in seeing her.

I didn't watch the game, so maybe I missed the context or some other words, but what was so wrong with it?

I think the playoff will helpbend bamas NC dominance. And if the NCAA instituted a 5 yard illegal contact rule like the NFL, i think thatd hurt bama more than most teams

ESPN is just as culpible. Someone other than Musberger elected to keep showing her on camera. For a moment there I thought I was watching a FOX broadcast of the World Series where they keep showing some crappy, C-list actor from some terrible series that FOX is trying to promote (except, of course, this chick was hot and I didn't mind seeing her).
It's pretty much the same thing that happened in the Fox broadcast of the Fiesta Bowl a couple of years ago. TCU vs Boise State.
That game was not as interesting as the hot TCU women in the stands (every single play they cut away to hot women), and the game was lousy the other night so they went to women. ESPN likes to pretend it's above these things, it's not.
Musberger acted unprofessionally period. That's not something you go on and on about over the air. It's not like he's going to lose his job over it, that would be ridiculous and unnecessary, but it was worthy of an apology. He should know better, but then he should know better than to say Honeybadger 5000 times on a broadcast too. His voice is famous and that's why he gets those games, so good for him, but if he listened too what went out over the air again, I think he would apologize for it himself. It made people including his booth partner uncomfortable, there was really no need for that, he should have just mentioned it and moved on, he kept on it too long and that's why they apologized.
