The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Annnnnnd …. Here we go.
4 mega divisions of 16 teams each, two 8-team sides within them.
The top team out of each group of 8 is the playoff berth - against the other one in the other half of their division.
Playoffs.
There's going to be too many teams to make that work now. B1G, SEC, and ACC (counting Notre Dame) would all be there now, but this would leave 10 teams in the PAC, with the Big 12 once again becoming numerically accurate. Either you're kicking 6 teams out, or you need to add 10 more to get 5 conferences of 16.

Wow, that was as surprise when I saw it on a headline crawl this morning. It’s a game changer. The travel will be brutal, football is king and all that matters with mens basketball a distant but what about the lesser programs?
