Re-signed Gholston today. Was a no-brainer but I'm glad it is done.

It was huge to keep him. Not a bad deal either. He would have made more in free agency.

Very smart re-signing by Tampa Bay.

It would also be smart if they let Glennon walk for a huge contract and make sure they preserve a 3rd round comp pick for him in 2018.

Yeah, but apparently they just offered him a huge contract today.

Really? Why? Who reported on this?

I just saw that. Not a fan of offering him a huge deal. If he's playing the bucs aren't winning anything of significance. So it's just a waste.

He won't sign with them though. He wants to be a starter. He'll probably end up in San Fran.

Thank god. he gets a huge deal and the bucs get a 3rd/4th round pick. It's a win win for everyone but 49er fans.

If Glennon signs for that reported $14-$15 million, they'll easily be eligible for a 3rd round comp pick. But the trick is that they can't sign too many UFAs of their own or they'll cancel that pick out. It'll be interesting to see how TB approaches that.

Looks like they are resigning Jacquizz Rodgers. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I wonder if they'll go after Latavius Murray at all?

Quizz is a good backup and knows the offense. Dependable, tough and cheap but no upgrade. I'm not sure how great Murray is after contact but he's a great scorer. I'm also unsure of his hands.

For whatever reason the Raiders took him off the field a lot between the 20's. I don't watch them enough to know why even though I know they have some decent backs and fullbacks. Just not sure you want to go out and pay Murray this year.

Quizz would be your 3rd probably and a possible camp cut depending on what goes down in this draft, which is full of really talented versatile backs.

Murray strikes me as kind of a poor man's AP. I'd chalk most of his success up to size/speed and Oakland's line. They have two good young backs now and don't seem particularly eager to re-sign him at all.

Tampa Bay finally seems to have learned that they need to build through drafting/extending their own guys and not the shit soup of trades/bad FA aquisitions that have been their MO for the last decade. Winston, Evans, Spence, Marpet etc. seem evidence they might finally be breaking that trend.

And still reel in 7 TDs somehow.

DeSean Jackson and Mike Evans would make one hell of a combo. Their skill sets would compliment each other so well. Probably still need to draft a WR too because there is trash on trash after Mike right now.

Will someone here tell me wtf I'm missing with Glennon? I'm on the edge of the cliff over here.

You aren't missing anything. He is a solid backup. He may have done better with better pieces around him, but a new regime came in in Tampa and never gave him a chance. He may have done better with better players around him, but alas, the Bears don't offer that either.
