The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I don't understand the appeal of Vance Joseph at all. I'm genuinely perplexed by it.
It's not really about what he did Miami. He was great as a defensive assistant for the Texans and Bengals over the last half-dozen years. The Bengals in particular got amazing seasons out of guys like Terence Newman and Adam Jones while he was there. He also worked with Wade in Houston when they had a complete defensive 180. Apparently this us not a surprise around the league at all.
Right. If Kubiak wasn't available in 2015 it's likely they would have hired Joseph back then.

How are you guys feeling about the off-season and next season? I keep seeing Chiefs fans say things like "Denver fans have to be beside themselves" and "Denver is going into a 2-3 year rebuild."
Obviously, as a Chiefs fan, I think Wade leaving is good news. I don't want to deal with that guy twice a year. But I'm not sure these coaching changes equate to meltdown. There's still a ton of talent and leadership still in Denver.

What are your expectations as fans?
There's too much talent on the team, especially on the defensive side, for this to be a rebuild. The Broncos got a bit unluckier than they did in 2015, and while I can't speak yet for the Chiefs, the Raiders got really lucky in 2016 until Carr went down. I certainly expect Denver to be a contender in 2017.

This is much more where I'm at, too. Denver will be a contender and a threat (to the AFC West) next season. I also expect the Raiders to remain a threat, though I wouldn't be surprised to see some regression next season. Either way, should be fun for the next few years, I think.

It's pretty simple though isn't it? They really just need a QB. They should go after Tony Romo for the short term if the Joneses actually want to allow it anyway I guess...
They are built well, the coaching change could be a problem, but They are a very solid team minus the QB position (I guess they could play Lynch too next year but getting a proven vet would make more sense with that group. They could probably use another tailback too.
Generally speaking a coaching change can take a year, but they are so talented right now, the new coach would do well to keep as much as possible intact from the old group if possible.
Best secondary in the league without a doubt, really really good front 7, good pass rush, good receivers, need some depth at RB, maybe need one more quality OT... desperate at QB not that they didn't stop gap it pretty well this year, but that's a championship team with a decent QB. Just my 30K foot view anyway.

Is it fair to hit the panic button? I want to say this offense is the worst I've seen since the Tebow days. But at least then we had something resembling a running game and, you know, Jesus on our side or something. Trevor is obviously not the answer, but not the main problem either. The O-line is awful, the running game is non-existent, and the play calling/game planning is vanilla and unimaginative. Kudos to the defense at least. Embarrassing loss though.
So not employing Kaepernick is more important to Elway than winning. Good to know.
